John has made a life out of being a passionate guide, adventurer, husband, and father. John's diverse resume includes 10 years as a backcountry ski and heli-ski guide, as well as boat captain, risk manager, and photographer. A few of his noteworthy adventures include climbing El Capitan, kayaking the Grand Canyon, and working in the North Caspian Sea. He has a Bachelors in Outdoor Recreation, a minor in Environmental Education, AIARE Level 2 avalanche certification
