Heli-Assisted ski Touring
with North Cascade Heli
Inspiring terrain + the best snow in WA.
At the end of the road in the beautiful Methow Valley, on the eastern side of Washington's North Cascades, is an alpine powder paradise. North Cascade Heli operates in a spectacular 300,000 acre permit area with landings as high as 8600'. This region offers incredible terrain, and the coldest, driest snow in the state.

Heli-Assisted Touring is a cost-effective alternative to heli skiing, and an unrivaled backcountry experience. There's no approach — just a quick flight from Mazama puts you straight into the alpine. The day begins with a high landing and an awesome run. We link up subsequent runs with peaceful skin tracks and the occasional bootpack. Bowls, trees, chutes, faces, couloirs, glaciers, glades...these mountains have it all. At the bottom of our last run of the day we meet the helicopter, and minutes later are back at the heli barn.
THE BARRON YURT sits at 6200' at the base of Tamarack Peak, north of Harts Pass. Surrounded by fun terrain that holds high quality snow, this is a unique opportunity in Washington for hut-based skiing. Fly in for 3 or 4 nights, and enjoy a guided and catered backcountry experience with a group of 4-8 skiers.
