TYLER REID

​

Tyler Reid is a year-round professional ski and mountain guide based in Winthrop, WA. He has guided all over the world, and his annual progression includes the North Cascades, British Columbia, Alaska, Japan, Chile, Russia, Antarctica and Nepal. Tyler founded Pacific Alpine Guides in 2011, with a vision for creating super high quality programs that are original, authentic, and inspiring.

He is an AMGA Certified Ski Guide, has AIARE Level 3 avalanche training, and is an AIARE Level 2 course leader. Tyler is an ambassador for Arc'teryx, Atomic and BCA, and he also works as a heli-ski guide for North Cascade Heli. He has pioneered numerous first ascents and descents in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest.

 

In addition to skiing and adventuring in the mountains, his other passions include reggae music, surfing, learning to paraglide, and exploring the world with his wife Melissa, daughter Kaia and son Judah. In 2016, Tyler and Melissa climbed the Northeast Ridge of Mt. Everest together.
